NART 2005

J: NART 2005 reunite in Brussels on a glorious end of October day. Before you begin to wonder how our Southern Belle Janet morphed into a Greatest American Hero look-alike, let us explain that she left at the end of the summer for warmer climes south of the Mason-Dixon. The upstanding gentleman on the right is NART's newest member, Patrick "Mr. Sunshine" Cole (who also happens to be Sister Catherine's hubby).Posted by Picasa

NART Original

J: This is the original North American Roundtable (NART). We shared most of our best experiences in Leuven with this legendary posse. The guy pulling a Marky-Mark impersonation on the left is the colossus of Green Bay, Yul (Brynner).Posted by Picasa

Brewery mission with two titanic friends

J: Here we are at the Cantillon brasserie in Brussels -- home of the, uhh, "purest" beer in town -- with our Quebecois-Canadian mates Emilie and Patrick.

Welcome to Melanie and John's Chronicle

J: Here we are in our adopted hometown of Brussels. M: We were living in Leuven at the time. I came into Brussels to meet John after work. M&J: John had just started his internship at the European Policy Centre (EPC), had shed his shoulder-length locks, re-learned to shave, and was commuting for about a month and a half until we found an apartment in Brussels.

This is actually where our chronicles begin......
